- Understand the functioning of essential electronic devices (operational amplifiers, diodes, bipolar transistors and MOS transistors).
- Develop the ability to analyse and project basic electronic circuits.
- Apply the theorems of the linear circuits in the understanding and simplification of electronic circuits.
- Understand and use basic models of the semiconductors devices.
- Use of modelling tools and circuits simulation.
1. Introduction to electronics: theorems of the linear circuits; analogical and digital signs; frequency spectrum; amplification and models of amplification circuits.
2. Operational amplifiers: ideal operational amplifier; inverter and non-inverter mounting; differential amplifier and instrumentation differential; integrator and differentiator; limitations of the non-ideal operational amplifier.
3. Diodes: the ideal diode; characteristic curves of the junction diodes; models; physical description of the functioning of p-n junction; Zener diodes. Rectifier circuits. Limiting circuits and dc restoration.
4. Bipolar Junction Transistors (BJT): structure and mode of functioning; characteristics current-tension; functioning as amplifier and switch. Polarization of the BJT in amplifier circuits. Functioning of the BJT and models for weak signals. Single Stage Amplifier Circuits. The basic digital BJT inverter.
5. Field effect MOS transistors (MOSFET): structure and mode of functioning; characteristics current-voltage; functioning as amplifier and switch; Polarization of MOSFET in amplifier circuits. Functioning and models for weak signals. Single Stage Amplifier Circuits. CMOS digital inverter. Depletion of MOSFET.
6. Introduction to digital electronics. Analogical-digital and digital-analogical conversion.
